Sutter Health Home Health Aide, Home Health in Auburn, California
Under the direction of a licensed nurse or therapist, participates in the client's care and experience throughteamwork, effective communication and basic care skills.
Education/including Licensure/ Certification/ Registration:
Current California certification as a Certified Home Health Aide. Must have current American Heart Association BLS for the healthcare provider. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
Medical terminology, healthcare practices and universal precautions.
One year experience working with the elderly is required. One or more years of experience as a Home Health Aide, preferable caring for the elderly is preferred.
Under the direction of licensed nurses or therapists, manages multiple demands in an ever-changing environment. Good organizational skills a must. Requires the ability to prioritize duties and have good time management skills. Must have effective English, written and verbal communications skills. Bilingual skills preferred. Sincere interest in working with frail elderly participants is a must. Ability to work as part of the interdisciplinary team and make meaningful contributions to the development of the plan of care.
