The Customer Care Agent (Returns) is an entry level position that works in a high performance, customer-focused team environment and is responsible for a number of customer-oriented tasks in a small call center. These responsibilities include but are not limited to: answering high call volume, responding to customer inquiries, informing customers of current and ongoing promotions, soliciting sales, determining the most effective resolution to customer issues and providing superior customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Responds to a high volume of incoming and outgoing telephone calls, process faxed, and emailed orders, respond to product inquiries, promotions, provide the status of orders, address corrections, customer complaints, etc.

  • Inputs purchases, process corrections and changes to orders. Maintains accuracy of the orders by confirming the items and quantities that are requested, as well as the total cost of the order.

  • Promotes additional customer sales by providing information on new products, reformulated products, and product promotions including freight incentives, discounts, etc.

  • Communicates monthly promotions, including freight incentives, discounts, etc.

  • Confirms availability of inventory to process orders and communicates expected ship date.

  • Works effectively with related departments such as education, sales (both domestic and international), finance and other co-workers, customers and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others; keeping commitments; keeping others informed of work progress, timetables and issues; addressing problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions; addressing others by name, title or other respectful identifier, and; respecting the diversity of our work force in actions, words and deeds.

  • Light filing and other duties as needed.

    Qualifications:

  • Bilingual preferred

  • High school diploma required plus one year of experience working in a customer service environment (preferably in the beauty industry) or one year of experience working with Dermalogica

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Typing speed of 35 wpm minimum

  • Self-motivated team player who values continuous learning

  • High attention to detail
