Position Snapshot

The Billing Specialist supports internal and external customers to ensure invoices are created and billed in a timely manner. Performs invoice preparation, audits, adjustments and assists in month-end account receivable activities.

Day in the Life

After booting up your computer and grabbing your favorite morning beverage, you can expect to:

  • Complete all necessary steps to ensure customer invoices are distributed in a timely manner

  • Maintain the billing department mailbox(s); disbursing information to appropriate personnel, departments, and/or management

  • Input invoice data into systems and generate reports

  • Escalate returned invoices to customer service and collections for resolution

  • Assist supervisor with month-end accounts receivable period closing

  • Review all invoicing documents electronically for accuracy and completeness

  • Ensure invoicing is compliant with SOX controls

  • Maintain third-party billing portals for applicable customers

  • Maintain filing system

  • Performs other, related duties as assigned.

What you need to apply

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Two to three years' relevant experience, project billing preferred

  • Experienced Microsoft Office user

  • Professional and courteous demeanor

  • Customer Service oriented

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
