Rigid Tactical Inventory Management Specialist/ Ordnance Information System Retail (OIS-R) in Coronado, California

Position: Inventory Management Specialist/ Ordnance Information System Retail (OIS-R)

Location: Coronado, CA

Fulltime position: Contingent on award of a government contract

Rigid Tactical is currently seeking an Inventory Management Specialist/ Ordnance Information System Retail (OIS-R) to support the handling and accuracy of the ordnance inventory records of SBT-12. This position is contingent on the award of a government contract and is located in Coronado, CA.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with analysis of policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements and evaluates their impact on current operations.

  • Assist with documentation to ensure proper kind, quality, and quantity are available for training evolutions in diverse locations.

  • Assist with schedules for storing incoming and issuing ammunition specifying magazine or RSL number for storing.

  • Follow established safety regulations, methods, and procedures for handling and storing each type of ammunition.

  • Assist with inspecting RSL and magazines to ensure that automatic safeguards and control instrumentation are operative and security measures are in place.

  • Assist with quality assurance reviews.

  • Participate in various meetings concerning ordnance inventory.

  • Provides recommendations to assist in the formulation of decisions regarding long and short-range program planning and execution.

  • Assist with audits and inspections related to ordnance qualification/certification program, and ammunition supply administration.

  • Enter data into multiple databases.

  • Conduct extensive searches for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual ammunition supply transactions and patterns, determine trends, identify deficiencies, and retrieve and assemble information into different formats to meet varying requirements (e.g., program reviews,status reports, unmet customer needs, and other similar areas.)

  • Assist with administering the ammunition inventory control program.

  • Participate in coordinating and planning current and future ammunition requirements.

  • Assist in the review and coordination of ammunition allowance change requests and Non-Combat Expenditure Allowance (NCEA) augmentation requests; provide recommendations to managers.

  • Maintain ordnance accounting data in the database to ensure 100% accountability of all ammunitions.

  • Complete all transaction reports.

  • Compile and analyze data to determine stock levels needed for nonrecurring, specialized items based on usage, inventory, project demands, and seasonal demands, changing customer needs, and projected depletions.

  • In support of complex requisitions, conduct research of catalog databases to locate more cost-effective products, available substitutes, and new products.

  • Conduct physical inventory of ordnance assets, maintain inventory checklist, and maintain NCEA.

  • Assist with weapons magazine load plans and ensure ordnance compatibility grouping. Maintain compliance with various requirements.

  • Assist with loads and certifications of explosive-laden vehicles for over the road shipments and air shipments for load at designated areas.

  • Review, research, and resolve reports of non-deliveries, losses, damages, discrepancies, and computer-generated rejects.

  • Process reports of discrepancies. Analyze and correct computer generated rejects.

  • Performs other assignments as directed by the Weapons Officer in support of the overall goals and missions of SBT-12.

  • Promulgate NCEA and provide inputs to Group 4.

  • Process Ammunition Expenditures and Receipts.

  • Assist with tracking NCEA expenditures and update training on quantities remaining.

  • Conduct Ammunition Inventories Monthly.

  • Assist with ammunition resupply to various location in support of training.

  • Conduct RSL checks to ensure RSL’s are in compliance.

  • Assist in the management of QUAL/CERT Program.

  • Assist with performing the duties necessary to direct and coordinate activities concerned with the handling, storage, and ground/air shipments of ammunition and other explosive components.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years’ experience utilizing ammunition supply and safety regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment for inventory, packaging, storing/distributing, and cataloging.

  • 5 years’ collective experience working with Ordnance Information System (OIS) and/or Retail Ordnance Logistics Management System (ROLMS).

  • 5 years’ experience conducting extensive and exhaustive searches for information and to reconstruct records for complex ammunition supply transactions.

  • 5 years’ experience providing ammunition supply operations support in specialized or unique situations requiring degrees of protection in shipment and storage, and/ or items seldom handled.

  • 5 years’ experience working with Naval Special Warfare (NSW) and United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) organizational structures.

  • 5 years’ experience analyzing problems, weighing alternative solutions, and recommending courses of action with little or no supervisory oversight.

  • 5 years’ experience analyzing regulations, directives, instructions, notices, and manuals issued by higher authority in order to ensure adherence to policy guidelines and be able to evaluate the effect of any changes on current operational procedures.

  • 5 years’ experience applying ammunition safety and compatibility.

  • 5 years’ experience in the use and application of personal computers and office software, to include utilization of one or more automated supply databases to enter, correct, and retrieve recurring reports and to structure and retrieve specialized reports.

  • 5 years’ experience utilizing NSW or SOCOM instructions, policies, and procedures.

Security Clearance Requirements:

A current/active SECRET clearance is required
