ASRC Federal Holding Company Facility Quality Engineer Associate in Edwards AFB, California
We are seeking a Facility Quality Engineer Associate at the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) , Edwards, AFB, CA.
AS&D requires a Facility Quality Engineer Associate on the ASTROS contract. The support needed will include ordering parts and equipment, tracking orders, performing quality inspections, reviewing documentation and test preparations to ensure quality standards are met, assist in implementing quality standards and assisting with Project Finances.
Support a dynamic test area that has multiple sites that are either in test or performing test build-up.
Attend meetings and communicate action items and follow through on next actions.
Provide support to the project manager by tracking and reporting finances on a weekly basis from the company management information system.
Maintain status on all quality efforts and provide routine updates on status to project manager and customer engineers.
Learning AFRL quality standards and staying abreast of changes.
Identify quality milestones and activities necessary to achieve project objectives.
Serve as the quality assurance resource for the test site.
Identify and track corrective actions related to quality.
Serve on all test preparation committees to ensure quality standards are planned and inspection points are built into all processes.
Write, review and assist in all Test Site Work Authorizations.
Conduct analyses of project schedules.
Perform research on equipment needed and place orders monitoring the purchase request through the ordering process and through to delivery and use.
Ensure all equipment purchased is sent to Preventative maintenance to be added to their tracking database.
Compliance with AFRL regulations and procedural requirements is mandatory.
Maintain daily activities ensuring quality is involved in all aspects of work throughout the site.
May be required to support test operations.
Be able to work extended hours to support test operations with short notice, including weekends and night.
Strong understanding of Quality Management.
Strong Logistics background.
Demonstrated ability to write Logistics receiving instructions for Supply personnel.
Ability to track purchases, documentation or other project related item from beginning to end.
Intermediate knowledge and usage of MS Office Tool Suite.
Individual must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to track project finances.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple often competing requirements and meet strict deadlines.
Strong critical thinking skills and be a motivated self-starter.
Ability to work as a team player with both technical and management professionals.
Individual must demonstrate a strong work ethic.
Individual must meet government and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to AFRL.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field and 0-2 year of experience or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree.
- DOD Secret Clearance required.
