Narda Microwave-West (NMW), is seeking a detailed-oriented, highly self-motivated Proposal Manager who has a proven record of developing customized, winning proposals. NMW is a wholly owned subsidiary of L3Harris Technologies, Inc., manufactures state-of-the-art passive and active microwave components and sub-systems used in commercial and military space, airborne, and ground-based systems. Must be proficient in working with and coordinating proposal efforts with key contributors.
Develops, plans and schedules proposals.
Read, review, and dissect complex requests for proposal (RFP), request for quotation (RFQ), and request for information (RFI) to determine scope and requirements.
Organize and analyze information, specifications and quotations in conjunction with functional departments (i.e. Business Development, Program Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Contracts, Operations and Engineering) in accordance with Proposal Management processes and RFP requirements.
Anticipate and communicate potential risk as appropriate on specific business and/or process-related issues relating to proposals.
Compile cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications.
Research and analyze historical data, develop cost models to support proposal efforts.
Coordinate activities through word processing, meeting kick-off, status and review meetings as well as analyze reasonableness, adequacy and responsiveness of data to RFP and Government requirements.
Prepare presentations for review and approval prior to submittal and assure complete documentation is available for review prior to submittal and subsequent activities.
Participates in cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives.
Participate as a member of the contract negotiating team.
Ability to obtain a security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting, or related field and at least 6 years of experience.
Must possess thorough knowledge of RFP.
Must possess excellent presentation and communications skills with the ability to interface with function departments, management and customers.
Problem solving skills and ability to navigate a matrix organization.
Ability to work fundamental math concepts to calculate amounts, discounts, rebates and percentages.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedures and requests
Ability to manage multiple and competing deadlines.
Advanced communication skills; both oral and written.
Customer focus and teamwork orientation
Familiarity with commercial space business and/or RF microwave products is preferred.
