Army Tank-Automotive and Armament Command (TACOM) Program Manager in Herlong Sierra Ordnance Depot, California

Summary

About the Position: Sierra Army Depot is located in Herlong CA, a rural town in Northern California. Herlong is approximately 60 miles north of Reno, NV, and 35 miles south of Susanville, CA. Employees work a 4/10 work week, Mon-Thurs, 0630-1700 hrs. Youth Facilities and daily child care available. The depot serves as an Army Expeditionary Logistical Support Center, (Mass transportation is available at minimal cost.) Surrounding area boasts a full range of outdoor sports/recreation activities.

Responsibilities

Serves as a Program Manager at the Management level.

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and evaluating functions and activities required to support assigned operations.

Responsible for coordination and implementing of comprehensive management plans and projects for the Garrison and Mission directorates.

Takes corrective action to bring deviations within acceptable tolerances.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Coordinating and implementing comprehensive management plans and projects; Identifying requirements for facilities, material, manpower, funding or technical services required to support various programs; Providing technical and administrative support to personnel regarding new policies and programs; Performing analytical studies by gathering data from a variety of sources on program effectiveness. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Education

Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. Two year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
