Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • California driver’s license required

  • Minimum of five (5) years experience is required.

  • Highly skilled in sales, customer service, marketing and business development strategies.

This position will promote and sell Sharp HealthCare and continuum to the public and health care community. This role will support the department in multi-service business and program development, with the collaboration from operational, business and executive leaders. To serve as a consultant for both internal and external customers. The Business Development Specialist is accountable for helping Sharp Grossmont Hospital achieve specific volume and business goals. The role is responsible for ensuring business retention and acquisition opportunities are seized and maintained.

Sharp Grossmont Hospital is the largest not-for-profit, full-service acute care hospital in the region with 536 beds. The hospital has outstanding programs in heart care, orthopedics, rehabilitation, robotic surgery, mental health, stroke care and women’s health.
