Sodexo is seeking a Full Time Registered Dietitian to come join their clinical team at Keck Hosptial of USC, located in Los Angeles, CA. T his position will be responsible for supporting the inpatient clinical nutrition team.

Keck Medicine of USC is the University of Southern California’s medical enterprise, one of only two university-based medical systems in the Los Angeles area. Encompassing academic excellence, world-class research and state-of-the-art clinical care, we attract internationally renowned experts who teach and practice at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, the region’s first medical school.

We operate the Keck Medical Center of USC, which includes two acute care hospitals: Keck Hospital of USC and USC Norris Cancer Hospital. The enterprise also owns the community hospital USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, and it includes more than 40 outpatient facilities, some at affiliated hospitals, in Los Angeles, Orange, Kern, Tulare and Ventura counties. In addition, we operate USC Care Medical Group, a medical faculty practice.

Reporting to the Director Clinical Nutrition, the ideal candidate will:

  • Be a registered dietitian with 2-5 years of experience in a clinical setting;

  • Preferred Masters degree or advanced certification;

  • Have prior experience with a variety of patient populations with the ability and desire to maintain clinical skills;

  • Have excellent time management, verbal, and written communication skills.

Part of the University of Southern California’s medical enterprise, USC Verdugo Hills Hospital’s services include a 24-hour emergency room, a primary stroke center, bariatric and minimally invasive surgery, OB-GYN and infant services, orthopedic surgery, occupational, physical and speech therapy, cardiac rehabilitation and imaging and diagnostic services. Position Summary

Responsible for providing direct comprehensive nutrition services

Key Duties

-Directs nutrition care of special needs population to ensure nutrition needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.

-Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.

-Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy.

-Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexo resource when necessary.

-Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.

-Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments..

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian
