UCLA Health Storekeeper, Per Diem in Los Angeles, California


As a Senior Storekeeper, you will be responsible for all functions pertaining to centralized receiving at the Ronald Reagan Medical Center and Medical Plazas. Your responsibilities will include accepting deliveries, verifying quantities, signing acceptance and data entry utilizing the Materials Management computer system and the completion of the receiving process as it pertains to distribution of supplies and equipment. You will coordinate the timely delivery of supplies and equipment adhering to delivery schedule procedures. You will also be responsible for obtaining end user accepting signatures, following the protocols for returned merchandise and documentation for receiving, returning and shipping in order to maintain filing systems.

  • Must be able to perform heavy manual tasks including pushing/pulling heavy linen carts up to 100 pounds

  • Must be able to lift/carry and transport supplies weighing up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to communicate effectively; read, write and follow verbal and written instructions in English

  • Detail oriented, comfortable with entering data on handhelds or computers

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations; addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

  • Skills for accurate calculations of inventory replenishment, weight, units of measure, and package counts are essential


  • Knowledge of University policies and procedures, as well as typical standards

  • Inventory management experience in a hospital or clinic and electronic ordering using a handheld utilizing a fully integrated supply chain fulfillment software such as Lawson
