ProTransport-1 Station Support Technician in Modesto, California
Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Station Manager, the Station Support Technician will perform various duties relative to the proper stocking, cleaning and mechanical inspection of vehicles ensuring vehicles are ready for deployment. Tasks may also include deploying equipment and vehicles to and from stations and/ or hospitals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Clean patient and drivers’ compartment
Wash and clean exterior of vehicles
Ensure that company vehicles are adequately stocked with supplies/materials and emergency equipment as needed.
Completes vehicles maintenance reports (VMR) as issues are identified
Inspects vehicles for motor fluids, fuel, tire pressure and lights. Inspects exterior for dings and dents.
Use inventory management system to adjust supply levels in stock room and keeps stock rooms organized
Moves ambulances and equipment from one station to another station or to field staff as needed throughout operational area
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Current and valid CA Driver’s License
Must have an acceptable driving record to be insurable by Company’s insurance
Basic computer skills preferred
Prior experience with automotive detailing preferred
Portrays a positive Company image and attitude with all interactions
Ability to communicate and understand English verbally and written
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
Ability to operate GPS
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to safely drive a vehicle
Use muscles to lift, push, pull or carry heavy objects
Must have adequate hand and arm strength to grip and lift heavy objects
Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time
Must have adequate hearing acuity to perform job tasks
Adequate vision required to be able to read information from printed sources and computer screens, as well as color vision and fields of vision to perform job functions, in addition with the ability to see to drive and read street, vehicle or building marking
Must be able to tolerate work in an outdoor environment (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
