Google Android UX Engineer, Design in Mountain View, California

Google engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. As a member of an extraordinarily creative, motivated and talented team, you develop new products that are used by millions of people. We need our engineers to be versatile and passionate to take on new problems as we continue to push technology forward. If you get excited about building new things and working across discipline lines, then our team might be your next career step.

Our team aims to build applications that enable people to seamlessly collaborate and accomplish complex tasks together. We’re on a mission to build apps that will be a refreshing change from the current enterprise products and tools companies use.

As a UX Engineer, you will work on the front end of our products and the features. You will rely on excellent analytical and coding skills, a commitment to quality, and a collaborative work ethic to work effectively within a challenging, fast-paced, and fast-changing environment. You will contribute experience with the fundamentals of JavaScript (not just jQuery), CSS, and HTML, and command an impressive portfolio of web technologies in order to launch innovative features to global audiences.

User experience is at the forefront of how we create intuitive, innovative, and beautiful products that people love. We strive to learn and understand our users’ needs, behaviors, and emotions to gather insights that inform product strategy and design. Our UX teams include designers, researchers, content strategists, and engineers who are passionate about quality, usability, and simplicity. We work on collaborative teams to solve complex challenges and craft experiences that highlight our products’ unique capabilities and personalities. Our work touches billions while exemplifying a key principle that is core to Google’s philosophy: “Focus on the user and all else will follow.”
