The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success and significant experience in complex, fast-paced digital environments. This individual will be a self-starter who can work in a rapidly changing industry and can scale a high growth business. S/he will have demonstrated success in delivering products to market that are cutting edge and have proven business value, creating synergies across multiple product and services lines, and successfully developing and mentoring talent.

  • Seasoned strategic partnerships / business development executive with 10+ years-experience in the eCommerce space.

  • Deep familiarity of the eCommerce ecosystem, core players and both seller and buyer dynamics in the B2B and B2C spaces, across both online marketplaces, ecommerce platforms, POS solutions and point software capability providers for SMB sellers.

  • Proven success in delivering SMB / seller commerce partnerships based on deep empathy and understanding of both seller and buyer needs.

  • Successful track record in developing and bringing to life partnership strategies through a lens of build / buy / partner and in partnership with product and GTM leaders.

  • Strong communication skills and executive presence in engaging with senior internal and partner executives.

  • Deep experience in negotiating partnership deals spanning product, GTM, commercial and legal aspects.

  • Experience defining and executing strategic growth initiatives in large, distributed organizations with quantified results for customers and the business through constant learning and experimentation.

  • Creative, strategic, and innovative, with a strong ability to execute and deliver bottom line results.

  • Outstanding analytical skills and the ability to assess disparate data streams and distill them into meaningful, actionable strategic insights and recommendations.

  • Demonstrated blend of strategic thought leadership, analytical skills, creativity, and effective communication to consistently motivate and influence key stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. An accomplished presenter who can successfully articulate the vision, product and strategy, as well as the critical issues and priorities.

  • The confidence and agility to succeed in an entrepreneurial, ever-changing environment. The ability to think creatively and strategically to capitalize on new business opportunities.

  • Experience defining and executing strategic growth initiatives in large, distributed organizations with quantified results for customers and the business through constant learning and experimentation.

  • Experience building strong teams and setting the tone for a high-trust environment. Proven ability to build, motivate, and mentor an exceptional product team to support growth.

  • Strategic thinker who can create and develop the long-term vision and is also a strong personal contributor with a desire to “roll-up their sleeves.”

How you will lead

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESIntuit has identified omnichannel commerce as one of its top declared “Big Bets” for the next few years, with the objective of becoming the center of growth for SMBs. A new organization has been created within Intuit’s Small Business and Self-Employed Group (SBSEG), to lead the charge in this space. Intuit has also announced the acquisition of TradeGecko, a leading omnichannel Order and Inventory Management platform as a first step in the aggressive pursuit of this objective. The Head of Partnerships, QB Commerce will be responsible for defining and executing on all aspects of the commerce partnership strategy from inception to delivery as part of a new business within Intuit. This executive will build and lead the partnerships organization for eCommerce, responsible for developing partnerships strategy, partnering with key internal stakeholders across product, engineering, marketing, sales and support, and managing the partnership lifecycle. S/he will partner closely with the senior leadership team to ensure alignment with other aspects of the Small Business & Self-employed platform, product and partnerships ecosystem. The right candidate will be a strategic and ambitious visionary with the proven ability to deliver impactful partnerships that deliver exceptional value to the end customers, partners and Intuit. Furthermore, this leader should be highly motivated to succeed, and empower his/her team to do so, in an approachable manner, that engenders trust and confidence at all levels across the organization.Additional responsibilities include:

  • Define, articulate, and execute on a clear vision and strategic partnership roadmap for Intuit’s eCommerce business from conception to realization and execution.

  • Working across product, marketing, sales and corporate strategy and development leadership to define partnership strategy and priorities.

  • Leading and managing a team of business development professionals to ensure partnerships are executed, set-up for success and managed on an on-going basis.

  • Working with product, engineering and marketing teams to secure resources and prioritization for partner success. Partnering with

  • finance, customer support, legal and analytics teams to enable partnership execution.

  • Identifying prospective partnership and market opportunities that Intuit can accelerate via partnership. Targeting accelerated innovation and growth via partnerships.

  • Establishing key KPIs and success measures for the partnerships team; based on a clear strategy and business model. Tracking progress against the partnerships teams’ goals and hitting critical targets.

  • Identifying and growing talent on your team to continually ‘raise the talent bar’ at Intuit and enable mobility teams for individuals on your team.
