PARC, a Xerox company Business Designer/Business Developer in Palo Alto, California

The Venture Services team has an end-to-end responsibility of validating and further develop business opportunities, ultimately delivering investment recommendations and executable plans and assets to accelerate the next generation of Xerox’s businesses. This includes the screening and due diligence research on a broad range of business opportunities, discover customer pain points and translate those into desirable, viable and feasible business plans. You will work in a cross-functional team of UX researchers, product/business designers, technologists and analysts to iteratively and quickly validate and invalidate key assumptions.

As the Venture Services’s Business Designer, you play a crucial role in delivering key artifacts for the foundation of new businesses.

Role Description

As the Business Designer for the Venture Services, your main responsibilities are to:

• Delivering world-class business models, go-to market plans and investment case to our clients • Collaborating with other team members in customer discovery and translating customer pain points into business artifacts

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• At least 2 years of experience in an investing, consulting, investment banking, product, and/or other highly analytical role at a fast-growing company • Degree MBA or relevant experience required • Exceptional analytical and financial modelling skills and a true expert in a variety of advanced analytical tools, including Excel, Tableau, and/or SQL (and in areas you’re not, you have the growth mindset to learn it) • You thrive in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment, and are independently capable of seeking information, corralling resources, and delivering results without waiting for direction. • Strong communication skills and an ability to move seamlessly between conversing with customers, engineers or senior executives; prior experience with customer discovery is a plus • An eye for graphical design and an ability to graphically communicate key messages efficiently • High-energy and positive team player with proven ability to build strong working relationships with team members; this is a highly cross-functional role, so a low ego and a defaulting to collaboration are musts. • Prior experience at a high-growth technology company or start-up is a plus
