About the Position:

Launched in 2018, Anypoint Monitoring at https://blogs.mulesoft.com/dev/anypoint-platform-dev/introducing-anypoint-monitoring/ (see video at https://videos.mulesoft.com/watch/VaoaFfUB6shCHrbFtYoirp ) provides advanced monitoring and out-of-the-box diagnostic capabilities. It bridges the divide between application performance monitoring and log management, the de-facto monitoring tool types for enterprise-grade visibility. With an integrated monitoring tool, developers, architects, and DevOps teams enjoy granular visibility across various Mule runtimes, APIs, integrations, and other runtime services. This product has enjoyed tremendous growth in the market, and we are looking for engineering talent to help us scale the product to new heights.

You will be responsible for:

  • Architecting, developing, and enhancing a high performing cloud-hosted Monitoring Service

  • Collaborating closely with UX and Product Management on functional and user experience requirements

  • Writing technical specifications and working with peers to ensure scalable design

  • Collaborating with team members on spec reviews and code reviews

  • Writing test automation to ensure high code coverage

  • Working with the Support team in resolving customer issues

  • Taking end to end operational ownership of services you deliver to production.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline. Master’s preferred.

  • 10+ years of industry experience in full stack development with demonstrable experience in architecting large scale applications including working on UI and back-end technologies

  • Knowledge of CSS, Javascript / Typescript, React, Angular or a similar framework, Java, C# or a similar language, Java server technologies, Node.js

  • Good understanding of REST APIs and general API design

  • Solid computer science background, database principles, data structures and complexity

  • Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest, Selenium, TestCafe, Enzyme

  • Strong experience in prioritizing usability, building user-focussed applications and building modular architectures based on micro-services

Preferred Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in building and delivering highly scalable, reliable, and complex software systems in a hosted cloud environment using AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes

  • Experience with:

  • ElasticSearch, InfluxDB

  • Spring Boot or Akka Framework

  • Infrastructure as code frameworks such as Terraform
