Description
Robert Half Finance is seeking an ambitious, experienced Accounting Manager for an immediate opening at a dynamic, progressive company. In this role, you will be responsible for leading daily operations, including preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. Preferably, you should be able to establish and scale company accounting and finance operations. Your responsibilities in this role
Prepare a variety of technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures
Collaborate with FP& A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics, including monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
Lead and encourage the full accounting team performance during the closing process to ensure deadlines are met
Contribute to the preparation of GAAP financial statements through data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
Play key role in implementation of NetSuite Financials including system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration
Possessing a thorough knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Periodically review and inspect the balance sheets and income statement accounts of Senior Accountants
Requirements
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Microsoft Excel experience highly valued
Previous experience working with QuickBooks
Financial analysis experience
Adeptness in Month-end Financial
Practical knowledge of Monthly Financial Reporting
Background working with Accounts Payable (AP)
Annual Financial Reporting experience
General familiarity with Monthly Financial Reports
Solid understanding of GAAP Accounting
Year-end Financial Statements experience highly preferred
Deep understanding of month end closings
Good understanding of Aging Accounts
Demonstrated knowledge of Monthly Financial Close
General ledger experience
Earlier work involving Accounts Receivable (AR)
7+ years of recent relevant financial experience
CPA/MBA preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
Reliable technology and analytical abilities
Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement
