Rockley Photonics Director of Foundry Engineering (Wafer Yield NPI) in Pasadena/San Jose, California
The Director of Foundry Engineering (Wafer Yield NPI) should have road experience with semiconductor processing. Experience in fab and fabless organizations is preferred. The Director of Foundry Yield Engineering (Wafer Yield NPI) should possess strong working relationships with leading foundries.

Lead transfer, ramp and volume production of semiconductor component products sourced from external wafer foundries. Projects span entire portfolio of Rockley products.
Refine initial wafer acceptance specifications for new products based on rigorous statistical analysis of development lots to ensure six-sigma manufacturability.
(For established products, lead continuous improvement projects for yield & quality improvement.
Support company initiatives to implement manufacturing systems (ECO system, ISO9001, Automated yield reporting system & executive dashboards from existing database).
Audit and augment existing pFMEA?s. Establish PCP and OCAP. Own MSA for all wafer test tool (electrical and AOI test points)
Customer facing interactions for yield reporting, field returns and associated corrective actions.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
MS in Engineering, PHD Preferred.
Demonstrate track record of bringing new components to market with novel process technologies.
Support manufacturing at a scale of 1B devices/year.
Significant exposure with wafer processing and device development involving at least one of the following process technologies 1) Silicon-Photonics, 2) III-V processing, or 3) MEMS devices
Process and equipment development experience spanning module level to full integration level over the course of career.
Experience in developing supplier relations & leveraging both supplier and internal development resources.
Depth in management skills. Experienced and formally trained in managing technical professionals and technical project management. Some leadership training desirable.
Rigorous statistical data analysis, multi-variate data modeling, statistical process control (SPC), design of experiments (DOE), and Kepner/Tregoe problem solving at the level of an instructor.
Strong background in leading industry standard quality techniques (six sigma master black belt preferred).
Demonstrate track record of driving yield improvements of emerging technologies to ppm level and below.
