Pacific Pharmaceuticals USA Inc.Interested candidates may send their resume to Maria Rehderi maria.rehder@pacificpharma.comiJob titlePackaging TechnicianSalary $ 17.00 / hourReports toProduction ManagerJob purposeSets up, cleans and changes over pharmaceutical packaging equipment following appropriate procedures in a clean and safe work environment meeting all cGMP, FDA, DEA, OSHA and other applicable regulations. Able to efficiently operate the Packaging line (i.e., Manual / Automated Packout)Duties and responsibilitiesPerform a variety of packaging machines including Bottle Packaging and Blister Packaging using manual and/or automated processes and equipment according to production batch records and procedures.Utilize production equipment to label and package pharmaceutical product.Performs packaging line / equipment operational tasks that including monitoring and documenting production and equipment performance, trouble-shooting operational problems, staging correct supplies at the packaging line, inspection of packaging, hand packing, etc.Accurately record and maintain log books, production records, and associate documents to comply with regulatory requirements.Holds quality and reliability as high standards of production service and clearly communicates these standards to others.Provides input and suggestions for process improvements as well as for procedure writing and revision.Perform cleaning and product change overs as per standard operating proceduresQualificationsEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent. Experience in pharmaceutical bottle, blister packaging required.Specialized knowledgeWorking knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Procedures (cGMP).SkillsBasic arithmetic and writing skills to document production activities in batch records.Communication skillsAbilitiesAbility to operate on a fast-paced manual assembly line and with basic production equipment. Ability to remain focused and detail-oriented during repetitive tasks.Ability to follow written production records and validation protocols.Ability to work independently and cooperatively on a team. Ability to stand for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours or more).Ability to utilize business software.Acceptable results on both a quantitative and verbal assessment test.Acceptable MVR may be required.Ability and willingness to maintain accurate and factual hard-copy and electronic records.Ability to use computers to perform a variety of data-entry transactions and to retrieve information (procedures; safety, employment, and other information). Ability to learn and apply all relevant Department Procedures (DPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other regulatory requirements.iOther characteristics such as personal characteristics Demonstrated high level of personal motivation and initiative.Ability to adapt and be flexible with daily work assignment changes as well as a continuously-improving work environmentProfessional CertificationiExperienceExperience in a manufacturing environment including set-up, operation, cleaning and basic maintenance of manufacturing equipment.Pharmaceutical or other regulatory (cGMP) experience.Working conditions(If the job requires a person to work in special working conditions this should be stated in the job description.
