Moonlight Companies Spray Rig Operator (Field) in Reedley, California
Job Title: Field Spray Rig Operator (completed California Pesticide Handler Certification Training)
Location: Field Reports To: Field Manager for all scheduling and field duties. Director of Human Resources for all safety and onboarding duties
Non-Exempt - Hourly
Position Purpose: Works with agricultural chemicals and farm equipment to protect crops, plants and people.
Job Responsibilities:
Safely Mix, Load, Handle and Apply Farm Chemicals (including pesticides and fertilizers)
Drives tractors, spray equipment and other farm equipment
Follow Moonlight Companies, Field Spaying Protocols regarding the safe application of chemicals in the field
Inspect equipment and tools daily to verify everything is in good condition and working properly
Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to minimize risks and health issues
Properly store chemicals in prevent exposure to others and damage to the product
Follow California Pesticide Safety Regulations and complete training regularly
Haul farming equipment to and from different ranch locations
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to cold and hot temperatures which consists of outdoor work.
Qualifications:
Prior experience mixing, loading, handling and applying pesticides and farm chemicals
Completed prior pesticide handler safety training
Bilingual a plus (Spanish/English)
Ability to work well in a team-based environment with limited supervision
Ability to produce results in a fast-paced environment
Valid CA Driver License
Clean DMV record
