Aerotek HR Generalist in Sacramento, California
The HR Generalist supervises the HR function within the organization to include staffing, fair compensation practices, training, retention, associate relations, communications and legal compliance. Oversees coaching and counseling and all terminations.
Act as subject matter expert in HR policies, employment practices and laws; primarily wage and hour, timekeeping, and federal/state/local labor laws.
Maintain training records and prepare documents necessary for HR compliance.
Partner with leadership to develop annual workforce strategy (perform workforce analysis, including turnover, total compensation, organizational structure, engagement, etc).
Manage daily employee and labor relations and perform initial investigations of employee complaints and alleged policy violations. Escalate to EEO Officer when necessary.
Implement and monitor HR compliance, HR systems, and applicable federal/state law (including but not limited to 1-9s, personnel files, Worker’s Compensation, EEO, ADA, FMLA) and collective bargaining agreements.
Provide strategic recommendations for Talent Management including succession planning, workforce development/training, internal transfers, high-potential employee engagement, and overall policy and procedures processes.
Develop basic communication materials (e.g., PowerPoint presentations, termination letters, and other employment-related correspondence).
Maintains open door policy and confidentiality according to HIPAA.
Participate from recruiting to resignation, termination or retirement of all employment.
Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field strongly preferred.
Previous experience in Human Resources. Open to those with only HR Assistant experience with demonstrated knowledge and competency to meet job requirements.
