Product Manager/Strategy 4-ProdDev
Seeking energetic, technically-credible, self-starters to support Central and Outbound product management activities.
The Central Product Management Outbound team coordinates cross-product activities on behalf of Oracle’s premier management solution product family, and represents the product development organization to other lines of business and the Oracle sales force and customer base.

Specific Job duties include:
Serve as ongoing product evangelist (delivering tech talks; authoring white papers, blogs, and presentations; working with customers to make them successful)
Sales-facing and customer-facing liaison to handle technical questions, provide technical leadership presentations and demonstrations
Contributor and reviewer of major assets such as internal and external web portals, and ultimately managing these portals
Manage internal relationships and joint project management projects across different internal Oracle organizations
Coordinate and drive large internal and external events like OOW, CABs, and Beta Programs
Author, contributor, and reviewer of technical content for white papers, collateral, demos, and training material
Occasional travel to support regional customer events
The role requires strategic thinkers who are curious and excited about both participating in and shaping the next phase of the IT Operations market, with strong technical fluency (these are technical products) but also an interest in delivering products easier for real humans to use.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in the IT management space. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to technology software and business. 10 years of software business experience required. Technical sales role experience is a plus.
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.
As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
