Dignity Health Mercy General Hospital has been serving the Sacramento community for more than 100 years. Mercy General Hospital has 342 licensed beds, a physician staff of more than 800 and is the highest volume cardiac procedure hospital in California. Supervises Nuclear Medicines department operations and ensures compliance with all regulations, policies and procedures. Assists with developing policies, protocols and procedures to measure and improve the quality of diagnostic imaging services provided by different departments and improves patient experience. Supervises personnel through performance management, qualified staff selection and training and effective communication. Maintains the safety of imaging service equipment and creates a safe environment for patients, staff and the public.
Principal Duties and Accountabilities:
Supervises imaging services for several departments in compliance with all regulations, policies and procedures.
Assists with developing policies, protocols and procedures to measure and improve the quality of imaging services provided by different departments and improve patient experience.
Supervises personnel through performance management, qualified staff selection and training, and effective communication.
Maintains the safety of diagnostic imaging service equipment, and creates a safe environment for patients, staff and the public.
Education and Experience:
Graduate of an accredited imaging program required.
3 years experience as a practicing Nuclear Medicine Technologist and with an additional 2 years of supervisory experience.
Certified technologist with current applicable state licensure (CA board of Nuclear Medicine).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
