Introduction to the team

Welcome to our SOC & IT Compliance practice within Moss Adams Advisory Services (MAAS). Our team supports our business assurance practice and integrated compliance audits for Sarbanes-Oxley, SOC1 & SOC2 and other IT consultative services. We also provide consulting services focused on the IT side of the business and work closely with our IT Security and Risk Assurance teams. We have direct interactions with clients who range in size from start-up to enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Strong motivation to meet client deadlines, provide excellent client service and maintain strong client relationships

  • Demonstrated ability to collect and analyze complex data, evaluate information and systems, while drawing logical conclusions

  • Ability to mentor, train and manage professional staff

  • Strong ability to multitask, juggle multiple clients, and manage various deadlines

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; major in business, finance, accounting or information systems preferred

  • 5 years of IT audit experience required

  • CISA, CPA, and/or CIA required. If not certified, must meet educational requirements to obtain license upon hire in state of employment

  • Sarbanes-Oxley IT audit experience required

  • Review SOC work papers and reports required

  • Previous experience with the Big 4 or second tier firm preferred

  • Ability to research and interpret audit standards and SEC guidance and applies findings to support conclusions preferred

  • Provide input and help develop IT audit methodology

  • Experience with PCAOB regulations & requirements preferred

  • Oversee and manage multiple SOC projects

  • Develop team members through on the job and formal training required

  • Develop and maintain client relationships

  • Thrives in a fast paced environment

  • Works well collaboratively and individually

  • Demonstrates understanding of technical and business functionality of common Tier 1 and Tier 2 finance and ERP systems preferred

  • Ability to identify, define, and write controls and IT test plans for complex controls that support IT general and applications control testing for private and public companies.

  • Ability to multi-task and set workload priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to travel (over 3 hours from home) up to 30%
