What you get to do:

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll oversee the general maintenance of the park. Prioritizing and coordinating all work activities necessary to properly maintain the parks buildings, systems, equipment and site utilities. You will:

· Supervise and coordinate projects to include planning, scheduling, and inspections

· Schedule and direct the daily activities and work assignments to include regular and preventative maintenance

· Ensure inspections and documentation are organized and properly completed

· Generate and close work orders

· Enter purchase requisitions for contract services and materials and supplies, when needed

· Oversee area expenditures in relation to an approved budget

· Prioritize, monitor, and coordinate workflow and quality of work

· Prepare scope of work and job walks for contract bids

· Leads maintenance projects to include, but not limited to, the following: paint/rust remediation, plumbing, repair of culinary equipment, minor concrete repair, compressor overhauls, gates, etc.

· Perform maintenance and repairs on fire systems to include alarm, sprinklers, and fire suppression

· Perform maintenance and repairs to animal care gates and actuators

· Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of pneumatic/automated equipment

· Maintain all records and documentation required by governing agencies and SeaWorld Policy

· Review drawings and specifications for new projects and provide recommendations as needed

· Confer with other department’s leadership to coordinate activities of individual departments

· Ensure excellent customer service by responding to customer requirements, expectations, and needs

· Ensure appropriate responses and documentations of all service calls and repairs to ensure assignments are complete

· Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency and safety of the shop, department, or work crew

· Ensure safe work habits are followed by all ambassadors and proper personal safety devices are maintained and available

· Understand and can reinforce building codes and OSHA regulations related to systems and maintaining systems that department is responsible for, i.e. plumbing, fire systems

· Lead weekly area meetings

· Coach and develop staff

· Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our Guests

· Perform other duties as assigned

What it takes to succeed:

· Must be at least 18 years of age

· High school diploma or equivalent, required

· Some additional college, trade school, and/or apprenticeship preferred

· At least 10 years of experience in the facilities maintenance industry, required

· At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role, required

· Experience in plumbing, fire systems, pneumatics and commercial kitchen equipment upkeep, preferred

· Possession of a valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain a company driver’s license

· Ability to meet company driving guidelines

· Strong leadership skills and be able to resolve issues as they arise

· Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced constantly changing work environment

· Perform all the principal duties and possess the skills and abilities of the lead and technicians, which include the ability to troubleshoot and perform general maintenance when required

· Must have strong mathematical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and schematics

What else is important:

· Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis, and 100 lbs. on occasion

· Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed

· Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)

· Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, and cold/heat temperature extremes Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals

· Work a flexible schedule/hour based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays

· Must be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities
