Teradata Senior Financial Analyst - Product Financial Reporting & Analysis in San Diego, California

Job Summary

The Teradata Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for reporting detailed Financial results for the Product team. The Senior Financial Analyst will maintain and develop analysis to support Product management and maintain the Product 3yr Plan incorporate updates as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Financial Analyst maintains monthly and quarterly reporting, providing monthly updates to senior leaders as appropriate. Some key responsibilities include:

  • Provide standard monthly/quarterly product reports, including commentary

  • Support Product Management to Deliver Comprehensive Quarterly Business Review

  • Improve level of accuracy and standardization within current systems

  • Build underlying analytics to support cloud business

  • Provide comprehensive summary to executive team of Financial Analytics on a Quarterly basis

  • Manage and Maintain Product Long-range Plan

  • Maintain and enhance existing 3 year plan model

  • Support and manage iterations with Strategic Plan

  • Enhance and develop detail schedules behind Plan

  • Prepare summary reports for Product team

  • Perform Adhoc financial analysis to support Finance organization

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economic, or highly analytical field (e.g. Engineering, Math, and Computer Science)

  • 1-2 years accounting experience

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration preferred

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Finance or Finance-related specialties, cross functional projects

  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles

  • Knowledge of Hyperion, Oracle, other Financial Management tools

  • Demonstrated financial modeling and analysis skills

  • Experience financial reporting

  • Proven ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions

  • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic, transforming organization is a must
