Sr. Compliance Analyst

job summary:

We are currently looking for a Sr. Compliance Analyst for a client of ours in San Diego, CA. This position will be 100% remote. The Senior Compliance Analyst will report to the Senior Compliance Manager - Consumer Protection and will be responsible for conducting Second Line Monitoring activities and assist in the daily management of the complaint handling processes.

  • Coordinate responses to Customer complaints in collaboration with various internal and external Business Partners (e.g., Customer Care Teams, Sales, Operations, etc.) in a timely manner.

  • Perform the review, root cause analysis, and categorization of all Customer complaints.

  • Conduct and report on Quality Assurance ("QA") reviews to ensure all complaints have been accurately identified, documented, and escalated in accordance with applicable policies and standards.

  • Gather applicable Compliance data to satisfy internal and external reporting requirements.

  • Conduct and report on ongoing Second Line monitoring activities to ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulatory requirements, internal policies and standards, and contractual obligations.

  • Monitor various Customer communication channels (phone calls, online chat, etc.) to identify potential compliance concerns (e.g., UDAAP, ECOA, etc.).

  • Work closely with internal and external Business Partners to assist in remediating any identified compliance issues as a result of Second Line monitoring activities.


  • Experience level:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience

  • Education: Bachelors (required)
