Sutter Health Circulatory Support Technologist I in San Francisco, California
Ensures an adequate inventory of supplies and equipment for perfusion and blood salvage devices in the operating room environment. Performs autologous blood salvage for both pediatric and adult patients under the direction of the surgeon, anesthesiologist and/or perfusionist.
HS Diploma required or equivalent education/experience.
College or equivalent of two years with emphasis in the sciences, biology and/or mathematics preferred.
Licensures and Certification:
- Basic Life Support Certification - BLS required 30 days from hire date.
- Experience working in a hospital environment required
Skills and Knowledge:
Operational knowledge of computers, software applications, medical terminology, mathematics and sterile techniques preferred.
Skilled in the use of hardware and disposable devices used by perfusionists during cardiovascular perfusion.
Knowledge of English language w/strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Basic keyboarding and computer skills.
Ability to train others.
Ability to maintain levels of inventory to assure availability.
Basic math skills demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail.
Must be flexible and able to function independently.
Manages multiple demands in a rapidly changing and challenging environment and take appropriate actions in emergent situations.
