What You’ll Do:
As a leader directly supporting the Data Product Engineering function you’ll embark on a mission of scaling the team to the Revenue’s most fundamental data needs.
You will strengthen the team as a magnet for data engineering talent, by mentoring and developing team members. You will be responsible for the team’s technical strategy and roadmap – creating success metrics in close collaboration with other Engineering, Product, Data Science, and ML functions.
The team members you will be supporting will work closely with product teams to build mission-critical data pipelines and products that are ‘source of truth’ for Twitter’s fundamental revenue data, as well as modern data warehouse solutions.
Your efforts will reveal invaluable business and user insights, leveraging vast amounts of Twitter revenue data to fuel numerous teams including Ads Analytics, Ads Experience, Ads Data Science, Marketplace, Targeting, Prediction, and many others.

You are a technical, experienced engineering manager well-versed in cross-functional engagement, looking to join a stellar team of passionate data engineers -

You work best in an environment with a sense of urgency and can rapidly iterate on data/product features
You are passionate about data and driven to take the data organization challenges at Twitter’s data scope.
What you’ll need:
o Previously managed a team of 4-8 engineers and has 1+ years of management experience. Experience with building data products, taking them to the market, and iterating and improving them over time.
o Technical capacity to partner with tech leads, DS, Product and comfortable diving into the different parts of data experience
o B.S. or higher in Computer Science or similar, a prior track record of excellence as a data engineer
o Strong programming and algorithmic skills
o Experience with data processing (such as Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive, MapReduce etc).
o Proficiency with SQL (Relational, Redshift, Hive, Presto, Vertica)
o Data Modeling and ER models
o Ability in managing and communicating data project plans and requirements to internal clients
Nice to have:
Experience writing Big Data pipelines, as well as custom or structured ETL, implementation and maintenance
Experience with large-scale data warehousing architecture and data modeling
Proficiency with Java, Scala, or Python
Experience with GCP (BigQuery, BigTable, DataFlow)
Experience with Druid or Apache Flink
Experience with real-time streaming (Apache Kafka, Apache Beam, Heron, Spark Streaming)
