We are looking for someone who is passionate about small business to join us on our adventure to innovate with new marketing campaigns that will drive growth for the business. You will be joining a business unit at Salesforce that experiments and innovates to influence wider initiatives at Salesforce. Small businesses are at a critical juncture and there is a lot of work to be done to support the evolving needs of this segment.

The Small Business Essentials Business Unit (SBEBU) is looking for a highly motivated, creative, and analytical marketing team member to support multi-channel campaigns for our self-service segment. The ideal candidate understands funnel analysis and uses acronyms and terms like MQL, SQL, A/B testing and MRR/ARR.

This is a highly cross-functional role, working alongside business partners like Sales, Strategy, Operations, Enablement, and Data Science. The ideal candidate enjoys working independently, is comfortable navigating through evolving business circumstances, and can handle ambiguity. They demonstrate knowledge of B2B tactics and audience segmentation in addition to foundational knowledge around driving growth. They work with a sense of urgency, intellectual curiosity, and an eagerness to dig into data to solve problems, identify anomalies, and solve inconsistencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive customer/marketing database improvements: analyze gaps in our contact & account data, contact acquisition strategy, data clean up projects that ensure data quality and measure database health. Develop new ways to mine data to guide marketing investments and decisions

  • Assist in audience segmentation – how we group our users and what cohorts we should target

  • Execute end-to-end demand generation programs including webinars, email campaigns, website testing, direct mail, paid media, etc. with the objective of driving sales qualified leads and the sales pipeline

  • Handle all vendor relationships with print, fulfillment and our creative agencies/partners. This includes the relationship management of online mailers and direct mail (physical mailers)

  • Execute ad-hoc analysis or data pull requests

  • Test, iterate and optimize campaigns by measuring the effectiveness of initiatives and report learnings to the team

  • Multi-task across multiple projects and marketing campaigns, using existing tools and communication skills to manage project information and deliverables

  • Communicate effectively and manage communications to key stakeholders - primarily Sales - across the business including weekly and monthly reviews

Basic Requirements:

  • Experience with, and passion for the small business segment

  • Not afraid to roll up your sleeves, take ownership and not afraid to ask for help

  • Be an agent for change: Experience managing change and handling ambiguity

  • Flexible, open to change, and responsive to shifting priorities

  • A fan of speed: Ability to successfully operate in a fast-paced dynamic environment experiencing growth and expansion

  • Analytically inclined, exceptional organizational skills with rigorous attention to detail

  • Strong communication skills including storytelling with Google Slides, data crunching with Excel, use of Salesforce, etc.

  • Track record for delivering under tight deadlines

  • Works well under pressure in a high performing, fast-paced environment

  • High energy and the ability to manage multiple initiatives

  • 2-3 years+ marketing experience managing multi-channel marketing campaigns ( ie. events, email, print, online and /or social media)

Bonus:

  • Previous experience with self-service or monetization

  • Experience managing Google AdWords, Bing, and Ad Serving technologies (eg. Search Ads 360, Adobe Media Optimizer, Google Analytics).
