LinkedIn People Analytics Products Technical Lead in San Francisco, California

Role Summary

Responsible for developing technology strategy and creating product roadmap for the internal People Analytics team. This role will partner with stakeholder to develop scalable foundations for advanced analytics and analytics products as well as create scalable technology led solutions based on impact to LinkedIn and technical feasibility. This role will also partner with the LinkedIn Product team to experiment and innovate on analytics products that enable LinkedIn to achieve its mission of providing economic opportunity to everyone.

Role Responsibilities

  • Identify tools / technologies to leverage for self-service of data via dashboards and products leveraging multiple languagese.g.SQL, Java, Python, R

  • Define strategy for and partner with engineering to develop infrastructure and data pipelines for scalable analytics

  • Build, scale and engineer solutions leveraging different technologies (Go services, Javascript front end, Tableau, PowerBI) to solve key business challenges.

  • Identify baseline metrics for the design and development of accurate dashboards, reports, presentations used to educate, inform, and influence business decisions, thought leadership and support strategic objectives of the organization.

  • Build predictive models on topics like Attrition, Quality of Hire, High Performance Modeling, Pay Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

  • Provide hands-on technical management, guidance, and support including system/design/code review, and ultimately be responsible for the health of the systems our team builds.

  • Project management of large projects spanning multiple domains such as workforce planning/modeling, technology implementation and change management.

  • Work with the team to define a technical strategy, roadmap and operational improvements.

  • Monitor market and industry data trends, and evaluate new data solutions, methods, and technologies for supporting innovation.

  • Perform hands-on complex analyses on large volumes of employee and LinkedIn memberdata

  • Manage and/or mentor junior team members and provide training, project support and career advice


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in computer science or related field

  • 5+ years of work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree or PHD in computer science or relate field

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in hands-on tools engineering, 2+ years of experience in technology strategy and operations role, Significant experience partnering with technical talent, understanding data architecture & systems, Proficient in a variety of coding languages

  • Natural problem-solver:  comfortable with complexity and ambiguity; able to both delve into the details and operational tactics, and engage meaningfully on the big picture or overall strategy
