Twitter Senior HR Compliance Manager in San Francisco, California
The People Policy and Standards team at Twitter is responsible for employee-facing policies, HR compliance, and assisting the People team to operationalize employment regulations. We are dedicated to helping Twitter maintain a fair and inclusive workplace.
This role - Senior HR Compliance Manager - will serve as a subject matter expert on global HR compliance, build and measure compliance controls, and execute on various policy and process initiatives. This position reports to the People Policy and Standards Director, and will partner closely with HR Business Partners, the Learning and Development team, and other COE functions (Employee Relations, Compensation, People Analytics, Inclusion and Diversity, and HR Systems) within Twitter’s People team.

What You’ll Do
Design protocols for HR-related government audits, including ongoing compliance reviews and a playbook for government audits and/or site visits
Identify areas of risk for global compliance audits or regulatory reviews, which may include:
o Onboarding of new employees
o Leave management
o Recruiting practices
- Stay abreast of developments in global labor and employment regulations
o Identify policy and practice enhancements to meet rules and regulations
o Communicate developments in a clear and actionable manner to other internal stakeholders, including People, payroll, and legal teams
- Partner with People teams on initiatives, potentially, those related to country-specific time tracking, HR data privacy and records management
o Build deep understanding of legal requirements, operationalize policy and provide guidance to local HR and managers
o Assist with the creation of employee and manager guidance
Support the creation of global policies/programs in accordance with applicable law and regulations, including SOX, EEO, GDPR, etc.
Highlight and propose policy and process changes to meet local needs.
Master’s degree, JD, or equivalent experience
7+ years of previous experience on HR compliance and/or policy
Experience in employment regulations outside the U.S. is strongly preferred
Experience managing complex, global HR projects and operationalizing HR policies and strategy
Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally, build strong relationships and become a trusted partner to relevant stakeholders
Exemplary writing skills, with an ability to customize work product to both formal and informal settings
