Kforce Sr/Lead UX Designer in San Francisco, California

Kforce has a retail client in San Francisco that is looking for UX Designers for a number of on-going projects dealing with checkout, registry and general eCommerce. This role can sit remotely as long as you are comfortable working PST hours (8am-4pm). They are looking for a talented Senior User Experience Designer, heavy on visual design. This is a unique opportunity to drive customer experience across all brands. In this role you will use your exceptional human-centered design skills to lead the user experience across key customer touch points, specifically on the website in the high traffic areas (i.e. product information page).Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design the user experience on a range of projects

  • Build relationships and work strategically with executives, product managers, creative designers, researchers, technologists, and our brands

  • Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization to provide user experience solutions and user research to meet the business needs

  • Create journey maps, wireframes, UI, specifications, audits, heuristic evaluations, taxonomy recommendations, task flows, and prototypes

  • Use a deep knowledge of design principles and human behavior to design exceptional frictionless experiences

  • Synthesize customer feedback, research, and analytics into actionable results

  • Uses skills as seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures

  • Resolves a wide range of issues in innovative and practical ways

  • Strong knowledge of user experience and research best practices and methodology

  • Customer focused with high quality standards

  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal, business communication and writing skills

  • B.S./B.A. or higher in User Experience Design, Information Design, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or related fields

  • 5 years of experience in visual design and user experience, specifically within ecommerce

  • Strong visual design experience, focusing more on attraction design and visual design and interactive design, provide bigger vision of interactive design for the website

  • Strong fundamentals on information and interaction design, fundamentals of UX (preferably from a relevant degree)

  • Understanding of the research process and experience working with UX Research or Web Analytics teams with the mindset of going in, understanding the problem, coming up with a hypothesis based on the data/analytics/user research, and then coming up with a solution!

  • Proven ability to work cross-team and synthesize input from multiple groups (This person will be working across all WSI Brands)

  • Ability to drive the design review cycle and achieve consensus

  • Someone who will dig deep into the functionality - be more thorough/curious than surface level, this can be showed through the portfolio, did they work on complicated features

  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and effectively deliver in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience with tools like Sketch (for design), InVision (for prototyping)

  • Communication skills and collaborative

  • Understand what the stakeholders want and the design that they are looking for

  • Ability to be influential, negotiate the vision
