Postman Technical Pre-Sales Engineer - Developer Tools - Enterprise SaaS in San Francisco, California

Key areas of responsibility will be technical demos for prospective enterprise customers, creating proof of concept integrations and workflows as needed to support the sales process, and providing technical post-sales technical consulting as needed. Another opportunity to have significant impact early one would be taking ownership of creating function oriented customer sandbox environments (for QA team, development teams, documentation teams etc.).
In addition to working with a product customers already know and love, you will be well supported in this role by our Customer Success, Developer Evangelist, and Engineering teams.
Strong technical background with a four year Computer Science or related degree
Strong understanding of APIs in general, and deep experience working with multiple different APIs across different domain
Fast learner, excited and willing to learn new technology on an ongoing basis.
Comfortable engaging and working with all levels of technologists from individual developers, development teams, qa teams, architects, product managers and engineering and product management leaders.
Comfortable with the enterprise SaaS sales process
Hands on - you'll likely be writing code every day and are comfortable doing this live in front of customers and your colleagues.
Great communication skills (presentation, verbal and written)
Ability to listen and understand what a customer is trying to achieve rather than pre-supposing solutions.
Technical demos for prospective customers
Handling technical objections, providing solutions and workarounds
Managing security review processes, creating and maintaining a base of FAQs
Providing feedback to product based on customer’s inhibiting issues/objections
Remain up-to-date with competitive landscape and current trends
Creating proof of concept integrations and workflows as needed to support the sales process
Maintaining customer sandbox environments (for QA team, development teams, documentation teams etc.)
Providing post-sales technical consulting, driving adoption of features and making our customers even more successfu
