We are looking for an innovative and experienced product leader with a track record for driving new product capabilities from concept to successful delivery and market leadership. This role will be responsible for leading the product management function for Salesforce Messaging & Journeys org. It will require managing a high-performance team of product managers to engage customers, set strategy, define roadmaps, and work with engineering to deliver and guide the execution, ensuring the realization of business impact. The role is highly cross-functional and requires a candidate that enjoys navigating ambiguity, working in a fast-paced environment, aligning exec stakeholders, collaborating with teams across time-zones, and thinking globally. The individual will work with senior-level customer stakeholders to drive adoption.


  • Own the Messaging & Journey product vision - Ensure that it aligns with the overall product and company vision. Be an expert on the domain, the market, the trends. Evangelize the vision constantly so all stakeholders are aligned, have context, and understand where we are going

  • Drive product lifecycle - Collaborate with engineering, user experience, documentation, infrastructure, and go-to-market teams to drive the product lifecycle from concept to customer success. Work effectively with customers, partners, executives, stakeholders, and our technology teams to build a well-defined and integrated roadmap to deliver on the vision. Lead the product team to define the backlog for engineering teams, write the user stories, and do whatever it takes to fuel the productivity and effectiveness of the engineering teams.

  • Champion the strategy - Work with go-to-market teams, product marketing, sales, services, and enablement teams to build a program that establishes thought leadership in the market.

  • Represent the customer - Be the champion and voice of customers. Build impactful, personal relationships with customers, engineering teams, and the field. Bring the customer’s voice into the creation process

  • Think Strategically - Know what it takes to give Platform and Product the competitive advantage. Operate both strategically and tactically in a dynamic environment. Develop relevant, sustainable solutions. Align the right resources to the task at hand; foresee and plan around obstacles.

  • Make Smart Decisions - Analyze and synthesize broad, cross-business or cross-discipline information that leads to breakthroughs or significant insights.

  • Drive Results - Attack everything with drive and energy with an eye on both the bottom line and customer success.

  • Lead and collaborate across teams - We win or lose as a team. Product Managers play a critical role in creating alignment between engineering teams and stakeholders. M&J’s LRP requires many cross-functional team initiatives. A collaborative approach and attitude are essential.

  • Grow the Team - Coach and develop the product management team for the next phase of growth for the business. Lead the organization to evolve to a data-driven, results-oriented, innovative, best-in-class product organization.

Required Skills/Experience

  • The equivalent of 10 years of product management or similar experience in building a large scale enterprise cloud service.

  • Leadership DNA - proven ability to excite and lead a successful cross-functional team. Data-driven and outcome-oriented.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience in high-level business discussions and deep technical discussions.

  • Solid visual communication skills including the ability to create and deliver a great slide presentation.

  • Confidence in delivering product demonstrations, including the ability to tell a story and communicate business value in addition to product features and benefits.

  • Martech and CRM domain matter expertise is a plus.
