Spectra-Physics is looking for a Laser Technician that has strong knowledge to troubleshoot and repair Q Switched Solid State Lasers. This position requires the ability to read customer complaints and fault descriptions to create test criteria to duplicate the faults. Creation of repair instructions for use in local and overseas repair manufacturing and repair facilities.
Minimum 5-8 years of laser manufacturing experience and associate’s degree in Laser Technology
Experience handling, inspecting and cleaning of optical components
Good understanding of laser theory and optical alignment experience; priority to q-switched laser systems
Understanding and working knowledge of laser power meters, Spectrum Analyzers, oscilloscopes and photo detectors, and beam profiling equipment
Excellent workmanship and attention to detail
Good manual dexterity
Knowledge of SAP or other MRP system
The ability to read, write and comprehend English.
The ability to assist others and work in a team oriented environment
Intermediate MS Office Skills
