UCLA Health Admin Support - 8 Month Limited Appointment in Santa Monica, California
Responsibilities
In this role, you will provide administrative support for clinical
operations. Primary responsibility is to facilitate patient
access to services. You will also responsible for regularly surveilling
the clinician appointments to expedite priority patients. Work
with other departments to coordinate visits for patients receiving
multidisciplinary care within the Health System. Must efficiently
and accurately perform the following duties: register and schedule patients for
various services, encounter, manage telephone inquiries, check insurance
benefits and coverage, obtain insurance authorizations and process patient
payments. This individual must keep a close eye on schedules and workflows, and
communicate any bottlenecks, or opportunities for improvement to supervisors. Provide problem-solving skills to manage challenging
situations, patients and appointments both over the phone and in person.
Provide efficient and accurate services when interacting with patients and
Medical System, FPG and Medical School personnel. Observing CICARE in all
interactions is a must! May be required to cover any area of Audiology
and Speech Pathology (including coverage between Westwood and Santa Monica) to
provide back-up or fill in for other duties.Qualifications
Excellent oral communication skills both in person and
on the phone. Excellent interpersonal and customer-service skills. Strong
computer skills including Excel, Word. Ability to learn CareConnect. Working
knowledge of medical insurances. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced clinic
environment. Ability to work collaboratively with patients, administrative and
professional staff. Flexible, out-going personality. Spanish-speaking desired
but not required.
This is a 8-month limited appointment position that may convert to career
