We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join us as a Senior Manager of Supply Chain – Network Supply Strategy, with responsibility for modeling supply scenarios and aligning on the optimal supply strategy based on Commercial and Clinical long-range plans and assumptions. This function, based in our global HQ in Santa Monica, will require a strong collaboration skill set across multiple functions and at various levels to drive supply strategy based on internal priorities, external opportunities and financial considerations.
Responsibilities of the Senior Manager of Supply Chain – Network Supply Strategy include:
Act as liaison with various functions and cross-functional teams, including Corporate Development, Commercial, Clinical, Finance and R&D to establish and align on the long range demand forecast and set of assumptions for all Clinical and Commercial products
Partner with S&OP, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Regulatory and cross functional Operations Teams to develop and maintain a cohesive long-range supply plan that demonstrates alignment between demand and manufacturing capacity, including scenario analysis and considerations for business continuity and risk mitigation
Analyze existing data and industry best practices to identify patterns, trends and relationships that offer meaningful insights into how we can optimize network supply strategy and improve supply chain performance
Continuously incorporate evolving product life cycle management plans and assumptions into long range supply plans and strategies
Assess and determine network allocation and product volumes with a focus on capacity utilization, supply continuity and costs
Develop systems, models, tools and reports to support efficient assessment and maintenance of the long-range demand/supply plan and assumptions
Model and present supply strategies and plans with options, tradeoffs, and recommendations to senior leadership
Lead and facilitate “Make vs Buy” sourcing strategy assessments and decisions related to network supply
MA/MS degree with 8+ years of operations and/or supply chain experience
BA/BS degree with 10+ years of operations and/or supply chain experience
High School Degree with 14+ years of operations and/or supply chain experience
3+ years’ pharmaceutical supply planning experience
Strong background in one or more of the following: GMP manufacturing/operations, supply chain planning, demand management
STEM degree is a plus
Professional certifications (e.g. CPIM/CSCP) and Membership in Professional Associations (e.g. APICS, ISM)
Proven ability to work with tremendous ambiguity and critically synthesize diverse information
Ability to provide thought leadership and actively shape strategy, influence stakeholders without authority, and effectively network across the organization
Robust analytical and statistical skills to evaluate and interpret complex problems using multiple sources of information
Good business acumen, ability to think strategically and analytically, including financial analysis
High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
High proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and presentation skills
Self-directed and able to work independently with minimal direction
Adaptable and enthusiastic team player
