An Inventory Fulfillment Technician II job in Simi Valley, California is available at Milgard Windows and Doors on Day Shift. The Inventory Fulfillment Technician is responsible for both the physical and system movement of material for use in the production process and movement of finished and production from manufacturing work cell. The position ensures that material is of sufficient quantity, in the appropriate form, and at the right time for the manufacturing team and end customer to be successful. Inventory Fulfillment Technician II job responsibilities include:

  • Ensure that material replenishment to manufacturing cells occurs at appropriate cadence to ensure the continuity of production efficiently and safely.

  • Removes Work in Process (WIP) and finished goods from a production staging area to ensure the continuation of production safely while ensuring accuracy in inventory location and related transactions.

  • Supports quality expectations by ensuring delivery inspection, shelf-life inspection and assurance, and ensuring shipping and transportation damage does not enter manufacturing work cells or finished inventory.

  • Assures inventory accuracy through the use of and support of cycle count programs, physical inventories, and continued use of scanners on all inventory movement according to work instructions.

  • Ensure that finished goods are staged for customer delivery following queues from internal distribution systems. Oversees Job In Training (JIT) activity and ensures accurate movement of JIT carts to fiberglass window lines while providing accurate and complete documentation of the transaction.

  • Interfaces with production schedules and ensuring any outage instances are discovered at the earliest possible point so corrective actions can occur and production not interrupted.

  • Incorporates Milgard's vision and values into day-to-day activities and behaviors; guides and motivates others to remain committed to the Milgard core values.

  • Adheres to all facets of safety policies and procedures.



  • Minimum of one (1) or more years experience in customer service, preferably in a manufacturing environment, is preferred.

  • Previous window sales and customer service preferred.

  • Excellent customer service skills required.

  • Must be certified in the use of a sit-down forklift. Four directional lift truck experience/certification is preferred.

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Able to read and use a tape measure and operate essential hand tools.

  • Read/write and essential math skills.

  • Ability to get along well with co-workers.

  • Work independently, under pressure, and meet deadlines.

  • Computer knowledge and ability to learn new computer software programs.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.

  • Prolonged standing and terminal use, ability to move around a manufacturing environment.

  • Must have the ability to move and lift materials and products weighing up to 50 lbs. as needed.

  • Overtime may be required, including weekends.
