Aerotek Research Associate in South San Francisco, California
We are seeking a skilled scientist to operate in a state-of-the-art next generation sequencing lab to support our client's research efforts to develop transformative cell based therapies for cancer. The individual will be responsible for setting up novel sequencing workflows for transcriptomics and epigenomics profiling of bulk and single cells from in vitro and in vivo studies, as well as conducting studies using validated assays. The candidate should have hands-on experience in implementing next generation sequencing workflows, including single-cell technologies. The applicant must demonstrate experience in all wet-lab NGS elements, including nucleic acid isolation, single cell sample preps, library preps, sequencing biochemistries, and relevant data QC. This position requires an innovative and collaborative candidate to work alongside a motivated team to evaluate and develop new technology to meet the needs of a growing R&D organization.
Essential Functions: • Implementation of NGS lab workflows for bulk and single cell profiling and automation • Partner closely with biologists across functional groups to ensure the generation of high-quality, reliable next gen sequencing data to fulfill research objectives • Generation and maintenance of electronic lab notebook reports • Analysis and presentation of experimental data to project teams • Engage in continuing scientific and technical education to ensure the latest expertise and knowledge is available to meet challenges in cutting-edge cell based therapy research
