As Sr. Product Manager, you will be responsible for developing and translating the business and digital service vision into a strategy and product roadmaps to drive customer success, create a competitive advantage, and accelerate growth and efficiency across Life Sciences Solutions. As a member of this team you will enable new models for scientific laboratory productivity and provide innovative customer experiences, and partner across the enterprise platform to leverage services across Thermo Fisher Scientific.
You will translate the business and digital service vision into a strategy and product roadmap to drive customer adoption of digital tools, create a competitive advantage, and accelerate growth and efficiency across Life Sciences Solutions
You will identify opportunities, business cases, and create project proposals for new experiences based on the latest web, mobile, analytics, and IoT tools
You will work with software development, IT, product management and marketing teams to facilitate development of new remote and proactive service capabilities
You will define and execute global go-to-market strategy for migrating internal and external customers to the new digital experience
You will research voice of the customer; market needs and gaps, trends and opportunities; competitor dynamics & capabilities; technology landscape and off-the-shelf solutions
You will leverage qualitative & quantitative market research, design thinking, and user-centered innovation to develop offerings and capabilities tailored to specific regions/segments, that drive growth for the business
You will work with business and financial analysts to justify investments into new solutions, monitor and report status, and demonstrate revenue and profitability gain
You will influence and engage with cross-functional teams across Thermo Fisher Scientific, be an evangelist for transforming the way we work
You will manage business strategy including market outlook, competitive assessment, opportunity prioritization and product roadmap for digital service capabilities
How will you get there?
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Biology, or Marketing
At least five (5) years of product management, marketing, and/or commercial experience
Ability to distill customer requirements, understand competitive strengths and weaknesses, and develop compelling product offerings and value propositions addressing competitive threats
The ability to translate strategy into projects, drive project execution, formulate plans and define key performance indicators, as well as report on the health of each project
Experience with agile software development lifecycle (interacting with software teams)
Well-versed in rapidly evolving digital service & support space, mobile experience development for consumer or industrial applications. Past exposure to life science applications and biotechnology (preferred)
Experience effectively communicating, building strong cross-functional relationships, and working closely with other teams across the business at all levels
Exceptional verbal & written communication skills; outstanding negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills
Experience leading teams without direct authority
Self-starter with the ability to create and execute plans based on a vision
Able to act in a relatively autonomous capacity and encounter problems of diverse scope and moderate to high complexity
Experience with life sciences or clinical research products and services (preferred)
Up to 25% domestic and international travel
