Reporting to the VP, HRBP for the Global Business Organization (GBO) this HR Director role will partner with LinkedIn Marketing Solutions (LMS) organization with responsibility for the entire LMS Sales organization in direct partnership with the VP, Sales for LMS. This is the fastest growing line of business within LinkedIn, and this leader will play a critical role shaping the future growth of the organization. This person will provide strategic consultative services to business leaders related to people issues impacting the bottom line. LinkedIn is a fast paced, high growth company with both a regional and functional matrix. This role can be based in New York City, San Francisco, Chicago, or Open in the US.

The core responsibilities of the role will focus on the following four areas:

Holistic HR Management:

  • Deeply understand the business objectives and leverage existing capabilities or create the appropriate HR tools, programs, strategies and processes.

  • This leader will leverage and integrate all pertinent expertise and capabilities of the corporate GTO function including rewards and compensation, talent acquisition, talent management and learning and development to achieve business results.

Strategic HR Partnership:

  • Partner with business leaders to develop business objectives and plans. Interpret the HR enablers that are necessary to deliver the business results.

  • Drive the horizontal alignment of objectives, work and communications across the organization by working closely with human resources leaders in various geographies and parts of the company.

  • Liaise with the LMS Business and HR Leadership in order to resolve highly complex issues and challenges

  • Oversee implementation of defined HR strategies into regionally/locally applicable action plans and monitor progress

  • Oversee support of all HR policies and services, including required changes and ensure compliance of the business unit

Leadership Skills / Executive Coaching and Organizational Effectiveness:

  • Strengthen the various leadership teams by providing coaching and counsel to senior executives/their teams to further develop their leadership capability and capacity.

  • Partner with senior executives and leadership teams of the client organizations to design and build stronger functional organizations capable of delivering against the strategic goals and objectives of the businesses.

  • Direct partnership with the VP, Sales for LMS

  • Consult with, influence and partner with functional leaders and managers on human capital needs to enable delivery of business objectives

HR Leadership:

  • Improve HR capability by partnering with other members of the GTO team to develop and implement new and/or improved programs and processes.

  • Bring new HR expertise and capability to the global GTO team. Participate in the on-going development of the human resources strategic direction for the business and company.

  • Drive global Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging strategy to improve culture and help LinkedIn and our customers.

  • Support newly defined business strategies related to HR needs (e.g., new Products, Identification of Senior Talent/succession planning)

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of HR experience

  • Experience with organizational behavior, change management, business planning, policy implementation, and communication, people strategy development, resource management, and program management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent client management skills including consulting, communication and implementation

  • Strong business acumen and planning skills including strategic thinking

  • Extensive knowledge of the sales businesses, and company policies, procedures and culture

  • A demonstrable results orientation in combination with a laser focus on critical business issues

  • Ability to seek to match effective HR strategies with business goals. Must have the ability to articulate a practical vision for change as well as the ROI for HR initiatives

  • Ability to build partnerships with executive level leadership, mid-level managers, and front-line employees.

  • Ability to quickly build trust and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization

  • Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, influencing, and stakeholder management skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; demonstrated effective listening and questioning skills

  • Thought leader with deep knowledge of global HR trends in the High Tech industry

  • Experience in working within a fast paced, high tech company
