Summary:

Facebook’s consumer hardware division (Facebook Reality Labs) is seeking Global Operations Health & Safety Manager to oversee successful implementation and execution of EHS programs and initiatives across facilities in US, Europe and Asia. The FRL division is developing augmented and virtual reality products and platforms to further connect the world. As our teams and research and development sites are rapidly expanding, this leadership position will ensure site compliance and audit readiness across FRL locations. This role is responsible to manage and lead team of Regional and Site EHS Managers and teams. This role will demonstrate ability to assess EHS talent and select appropriate skill sets for current and future business needs. This position will develop strategy for operational excellence of EHS across research and development facilities in US, EMEA and Asia.

Required Skills:

  1. Develop and implement operational strategy for execution of EHS programs and initiatives to ensure safety of employees

  2. Collaborate with subject matter experts in lasers, hazardous chemicals, industrial hygiene, automated equipment and robotics, occupational safety and environmental

  3. Develop and implement EHS operational reporting plans and dashboards

  4. Oversee staffing and hiring for regional and site EHS support globally

  5. Prepare and execute operational EHS budgets

  6. Partner with EHS Engineering for successful handover of new equipment and new buildings

  7. Ensure facilities are complying with federal, state and local EHS related laws, rules, regulations and governmental orders

  8. Ensure facility response plans and emergency response plans are in place and effectively implemented

  9. Promote EHS awareness through various communication channels

  10. Ability to travel, including internationally up to 30%

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BS Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental, Engineering or related field

  2. 10+ years experience in EHS field, with 5+ years experience overseeing and managing teams

  3. Experience overseeing international operations
