Humana RV Driver - Fresno / Tulare County, CA in Torrance, California

Description

Are you looking to help positively impact the lives of the Medicare population? Do you want a position with the ability to work in the field while meeting new people on a regular basis? If so, we are looking for an RV Driver to prepare Humana’s recreational vehicle (RV) for marketing activities, drive to events and maintain the vehicle's overall appearance. Other responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing the vehicle as needed for each event and performing basic administrative tasks as needed. This position typically works on routine and patterned assignments for the Medicare Sales Representative and Engagement Specialist team. Responsibilities

In this field position, you will report to the Senior Manager, Medicare Sales. Working hours are flexible, but a full shift is required as work dictates including weekends. You will have overall responsibility for checking and maintaining the RV daily, ensuring it is mechanically safe and clean, and inspect the vehicle for any defects and safety concerns.

Additional responsibilities include: getting the vehicle set up for marketing activities, including opening the awning, loading and unloading boxes and materials; maintaining the driver’s log, which includes foot traffic, enrollments, and mileage driven; greet and welcome customers approaching the vehicle; check vehicle operations throughout the day and notify leasing company of any service needed. You will also maintain and submit an inventory report; notify manager of vehicle location at the end of the day; and report traffic accidents, violations (tickets), and any other incidents.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Active and Valid Driver's License

  • Driving record in good standing with a clean Motor Vehicle Report. An example of a non-clean MVR would include but would not be limited to any DWI or DUI’s.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Experience driving large vehicles in a safe, timely and efficient manner in both urban and rural environments including city streets and interstate travel.

  • Must have basic mechanical skills, for example, the ability to check and fully inspect the vehicle daily.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, with a variety of locations, following policies and procedures.

  • Computer efficient with MS Office products including Outlook and Word; plus the ability to navigate mobile apps.

  • Must be able to lift boxes up to 50 lbs. and raise/lower the vehicle awning on a regular basis.

  • Must be able to travel out of town for overnight stays (expenses paid) when required.

  • Knowledge of streets and addresses in the driving area.

  • This role is part of Humana's Driver safety program and therefore requires an individual to have a valid state driver's license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100/300/100 limits

  • This role is considered patient facing and part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

  • Must live within a daily commutable distance of the assigned territory

Preferred Qualifications       

  • Bilingual with the ability to speak, read and write in both English and Spanish without limitations or assistance

  • Experience driving a large (26') vehicle a plus

Additional Information

  • Any Humana associate who speaks with a member in a language other than English must take a language proficiency assessment, provided by an outside vendor, to ensure competency. Applicants will be required to take the Interagency Language Rating (ILR) test as provided by the Federal Government.
