Waste Management Franchise Account Supervisor in Van Nuys, California

_I. Job Summary_ The successful candidate will be articulate and comfortable in a variety of public settings, including meetings with city staff, delivering presentations to internal and external stakeholders and working collaboratively with colleagues. Strong verbal and written skills are required. The successful candidate will have prior supervisory experience. The ability to develop, coach, manage and lead staff is important in this role. The LA Corp Representative reports to the LA Corp Supervisor. The staff may be both co-located and remote. The LA Corp Supervisor is expected to contribute to the overall leadership of PSS and the market area.

_II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities_ To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. * Works collaboratively with internal and external resources to bring compelling and effective public education and outreach to customers, including innovative sustainability ideas to enhance current programs. * Manages, coaches and leads the LA Corp Representatives (direct reports). * Establishes and maintains strategic community partnerships to build significant, long-term relationships with key customers, local influencers and industry experts. * Oversees education and community outreach activities such as (but not limited to) print, electronic media, direct mail and city-wide customer education campaigns. * Partners with PSS revenue leadership to leverage public education and outreach work to support growth and diversion goals. * Creates and maintains an environment of accountability for the group -- delivering projects within budget, on time, and with the expected level of impact. * Reports progress and performance of individual LA Corp Representatives. * Cultivates and improves community partnerships by attending and participating in public events, meetings and other programs on behalf of company. * Implements outreach programs to increase growth in diversion. * Special projects as initiated or assigned. * Some weekend and evening event work is required. _III. Supervisory Responsibilities_ The highest level of supervisory skills required in this job is the management of LA Corp Reps.

_IV. Qualifications_ The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

_A. Education and Experience_ * Education: High School Diploma or GED (accredited) * Experience: 4 years of work experience that includes aspects of customer service and interaction with 2 years in supervisory role. _B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements_ None required.

_C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required_ Strong organizational, customer serviced, writing and communications skills
