Emanate Health Supervisor Parent Coach Team - Full Time Exempt - Days - 8hr QVH in West Covina, California

Job Summary

The Parent Coach Team Supervisor visits with families prenatally and postnatally in the home and over the phone, in a manner that supports the purpose and the philosophy of the Welcome Baby program. Responsible for supporting families, conducting assessments, and providing parent education in the areas of prenatal and postnatal care, breastfeeding, parent- infant attachment, child development, home safety and other maternal and child health related topics; identifies client strengths, needs, barriers and risks as well as providing community resources for those needs; providing and modeling empathetic support and feedback when working with new moms, babies and family members. Works closely with colleagues and the management team to provide input into the development of program documentation, training, procedures and overall structure of program. The PCTS works effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, as well as with a diverse and high risk population. Provides supervision for the Parent Coaches.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Social Work, Psychology, Human Development (or related field), Child Development Associate (CDA) or equivalent work experience. Lactation Educator, Lactation Counselor, or International Board Certified Lactation Consult (IBCLC) required within eight months of hire. Bilingual/bicultural (English/Spanish) candidates preferred.

Minimum Experience Requirement:

Minimum 2 years work experience in Maternal Child Health (experience in making home visits preferred). Knowledge of normal fetal, infant, and toddler development,prenatal and child health requirements and early childhood education best practices required. Experience working with families from diverse age, cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Ability to work independently. Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point, internet software).

Minimum License Requirement:

California Driver's License, transportation, and valid car insurance.
